AS9100 D transition: Risk based thinking in Heat Treatment

In addition to Nadcap and AMS2750 requirements, AS9100 is the base of the quality management system of the aerospace industry. And just like every ISO 9000 standards family,  the new revision of AS9100 (2016) has been finally released.

Revision D of AS9100 focuses only on fixing what is broken and it is very cautious in adding requirements. However the new concepts are highly relevant for our industry. When this standard is properly implemented and managed, it offers multiple benefits to the organization: Safe and reliable products, Focus on the complete supply chain and Recognition by regulatory authorities among others.
